New e-Form RS Product Tips 

As you access the new e-Form RS product year you may find the tips below helpful.

 

Tip 1 - User Login location change for those users not using Speedlink

With the new e-Form RS release where the Login location is stored has changed for those users not using Speedlink (removing it from the Registry and now storing it in a cookie).

Resolution

The user simply needs to re-enter their login and password. If the user can’t remember their login information, their RS administrator can retrieve this information for the user. If the administrator is not available, users will have to call Tech Support at 1 800-323-8724, option 3 for find out their login information.




Tip 2 - Message about License Agreement

With the new e-Form RS release users are getting a message stating that the Administrator has not accepted the license agreement.

Resolution

The user may continue on into e-Form RS and use it without any problem.




Tip 3 - Active X controls need to be updated

With the new e-Form RS product year release there are 3 ActiveX controls that were updated. Some IE 6 users and most IE 7 users need to adjust their browser Security Settings to allow for the download and installation of these controls.

Resolution

Follow the steps below to change your browser settings:


ActiveX settings needed for Internet Explorer 6:

From the Internet Explorer menu:

  1. Click Tools
  2. Click Internet Options
  3. Click the Security Tab
  4. Click Custom Level button.

Make sure the settings for ActiveX are set to the following:

  • Automatic prompting for ActiveX controls = Enable
  • Binary and script behaviors = Enable
  • Download signed ActiveX controls = Prompt
  • Download unsigned ActiveX controls = Prompt
  • Initialize and script ActiveX controls not marked as safe = Prompt
  • Run ActiveX controls and plug-ins = Enable
  • Script ActiveX controls marked as safe for scripting = Enable

Click OK. When prompted if you are sure you want to make these changes, click Yes.


ActiveX settings needed for Internet Explorer 7:

From the Internet Explorer menu:

  1. Click Tools
  2. Click Internet Options
  3. Click the Security Tab
  4. Click Custom Level button.

Make sure the settings for ActiveX are set to the following:

  • Allow previously unused ActiveX controls to run without prompt = Enable
  • Binary and script behaviors = Enable
  • Display video and animation on a webpage that does not use an external media player = any setting is ok
  • Download signed ActiveX controls = Prompt
  • Download unsigned ActiveX controls = Prompt
  • Initialize and script ActiveX controls not marked as safe for scripting = Prompt
  • Run ActiveX controls and plug-ins = Enable
  • Script ActiveX controls marked as safe for scripting = Enable

Click OK. When prompted if you are sure you want to make these changes, click Yes.
