A&A video digest is general A&A and does not meet specific yellow book requirements. A corporate tax dept could take the tax for credit but since it deals with a lot of individual issues it is not recommended.
This is an inhouse product which means the customer purchases the materials from Thomson Reuters and the firm then administrates the training. They are the CPE sponsor so they process their own CPE.
There is an income tax series, an auditing and accounting series, and a practitioners series. The practitioners series is a blended solution with 5 DVDs of tax and 5 DVDs of audit and accounting.

Call 800-231-1860 for more information or to register or visit the website for more information at Practitioners Monthly Video Digest
From April to August the Accounting Series is used for the Practitioners Series. From September to January the Tax Series is used. The rationale is that at the beginning of the year practitioners are more focused on planning their audits. As the year progresses and gets closer to year end the practitioners are more interested in tax topics.
The DVD comes with an instructor’s guide and participant materials.
The discount is 10% if a firm (same office) purchases two or more subscriptions.
Start-up kits are sent out immediately. These kits include a 3-ring binder, explanations of some of the responsibilities of sponsoring the sessions, examples of some forms that you may want to use, tabs, and sleeves to hold the monthly DVDs. Start-up kits do not include any educational material.
Monthly modules are shipped during the last week of the month. The 15th of each month is the cut off date for subscribers. If the subscription occurs before the 15th of the month, the subscriber will receive that month’s module. Those subscribing on or after the 15th will begin receiving monthly modules in the last week of the following month.
We do not keep back issues in stock. Only future issues are available.
Each monthly module usually covers a single topic, but can run over to two months (If the topic runs over 2 months, it will be listed as Part 2).
The video in the presentation is usually 60-90 minutes. With the Discussion Questions and/or Exercises that are included with the programs (print materials) and the Q&A expected during classes, each course is expected to last 125 minutes or 2.5 hours CPE credit.
The next few months modules beginning in 2008 will be:
A&A Series
January 2008: New Documentation Requirements - Part 2: Where Is It in PPC Practice Aids?
February 2008: How Will the New Risk Assessment Standards Impact Your Practice?
Taxation Series
