PPC's Trackker - Frequently Asked Questions
Edit Filter/Sort is a feature you will use throughout Trackker. This feature is most useful in the due date list and when running reports. Edit Filter/Sort allows you to filter your data using almost all the information types in the program. These types include client types, staff assignments, services, service status, due date range, actual due date, target due date, etc.
To access Edit Filter/Sort, click the
icon from the toolbar at the top of your screen. Notice that this feature has two tabs: Client List and Due Date List. You can use either or both of these screens to filter your items. You can also save the filter settings for re-use later by clicking Save.
Trackker has many options for posting services to the due date list. If you are missing a service, the cause is usually one of two things: either the service is on the list but is not being displayed due to the Edit Filter/Sort settings, or the service has not yet been posted to the due date list.
Try the following steps to locate the missing item(s):
- While in your due date list, go to your Edit Filter/Sort settings by clicking the
icon. - Click Reset
- Click Apply Now
- Click OK.
Check the due date list to determine if your missing items now appear.

If your items still do not appear on the due date list, it may be necessary to post the items. By default, Trackker only posts services four months out, meaning you will only see services due in the next four months unless you have changed this setting.
To post the items:
- go to Tools/Options/Administrator/Functions
- Click Advance Due Date List
- Select the client(s), service(s) and date range you wish to post for
- Click OK
Then, recheck your due date list to determine if your tasks now appear.
Trackker allows you to access and save firm files in any location on your network or local machine. Firms that have been using Trackker for several years often end up with multiple firm files in different locations. Consequently, after you install an update, you may open Trackker and notice your client information is missing. Generally, most of these extra files are outdated or accidentally created and, hence, lack your current client information. The trick is to locate the "good" file.
To help you locate your correct firm file, Trackker has a feature located on the File menu under Maintenance, Backup and Restore Wizard. Simply select this wizard option and follow the on-screen prompts to locate your file.

Anti-spyware products are removing registry entries that begin with any capitalization form of "PPC" in response to a Trojan virus. The virus targets a popular consumer product - not your PPC products. Unfortunately the PPC and WG&L e-Tool products as well as PPC's Smart e-Practice Aids-Risk Assessment are affected by the anti-spyware action since they rely on registry entries that begin with PPC.
